Hi Assalamualaikum, I am Ahmad Daniel Bin Razali, this is
a reflective of the subject Product and service. I am in a group of four which
my team member is Che Abdul Azim bin Che Mat, Atikah binti Azemi, and Aiman
Putra bin Zulkarnain. Our team works well for this assignment. We have been
delegates each others task and works with their own expertise. Even if we work
with different expertise, we are able to work well. The assignment is about to
create a new product of learning for youth for the company called USL
Educational Supplies (M) Sdn Bhd. Below
are the reflective of the entire task;
1. How did the team function?
Based on the
experience through out the entire performance, the team works or task has been
divided into their expertise. There are expert in calculations, generating new
ideas, building a products, and time management. All of the team works together
with no leader. The entire performance works at 90% efficiency. The delegation
on doing their work is good and each of the team gives a good communications.
In examples, all of our teams sit down in one table to discuss the works given.
All the plan and strategy that need to be tackle in order to achieve our
target. This has given an impact of good functionality in the team like one of
the team has a good experience on giving a strategic planning then helps their
team members.
2. How did the team undertake
the assignment?
Firstly, the team constructs the elements that are
important for the criteria. The entire
element has been set based on the timeline, which is on the Gantt chart. This
is to ensure that all of the works does not run from the track obviously.
Planning is important so the team take it seriously regarding to this matter.
Once the assignment planning has been set. The process of fill in the elements
needs to be done. All the works has been delegate to the each individual team
member’s expertise. The team also gathers all the resources about the
assignment. Lack of resources leads to less efficiency of the assignment. In
example all of the team gather their resources such as the company profiles and
the current un existing product for youth educations. As the impact the team
able to undertake the assignment according to the time given as planned.
3. What was the level of
interaction between the team members?
The team
interaction with each other well in internal and externally. Internally means
we understand the emotion in delivering their task. A certain part of human
emotion is good but sometimes less efficiency. Task or assignments are not
always be less challenging. It is very challenging at certain point. So challenging
is a part of learning process in terms of academic and self-emotion control.
Moving on to external, the entire team member works well. When problem occurs
they are able to communicate and discuss on the issues. This serious
communication leads to a good task output. The team takes the communication very
well and we might also respect each others. Respect is important to the team,
if one of the team does not respect each other, then there is a high possibility
of not efficient team and yet the assignment does not meets the criteria.
4. Did the team work well
together or was it dysfunctional? If the latter, how was the dysfunctionality
eventually managed, if at all?(if it was applied in the team)?
Every team has their level of functionality, for overall
the team work well together but sometimes there is a minor part turn to
dysfunctional. But the team does not leave the problem of dysfunctional there
unsettle. We encountered the problem on the part that needs to be done. Lets
say, One of the part which is we have the lack of time to discuss about the
works matter due to busy scheduling. Then
we make use of other ways by using digital tools such as video call where we
can communicate or discuss where ever we are and it saves time to meet in one
whole team. Other than that the team able to work well together by helping one
another when one of the team unable to do it. In example, Aiman’s idea generate
10 ideas before it filters down to five and one idea that needs to be choosen.
Since then we all evaluate the advantages and disadvantages and sort out the
best where we as a team decide together.
5. What was the quality of
the final presentation?
Based on the quality, it pays off based the level of
performance in the team. It is a basic thing to define the quality of a certain
output. The process is very important. It can be related like to make a cake,
if one of the ingredient does not exist in the process, it gives the impact to
the output of baking a cake it could be tasteless or other defects. Same goes
to the team, we followed the itinerary of the assignment that needs to be done
based on the Gantt chart, the process includes ideas generations, ideas
screening, creative methods, concept testing and the business analysis until
the pitch perfect. Let say one of the element does not exist, it could be does
not attempt the criteria. As an impact, the team might get a resubmission of
failure. But the team takes it serious to it, all the elements must included
and the last part of pitch perfect is the important past through out the works.
It’s the summary of all the elements and outcome.
6. From your observation what
should have been undertaken differently and why?
Based on my observation, things should have been
undertaken differently is by deciding a products and service by a students
business or interest. This is because, some of the students have the interest
to know how to implement the product or service in a proper ways. In this
matter it helps a student to become more confidence and enthusiasm with their work. More of the creativity ideas would
come out from their teams since they are able to communicate well with their
products. This does not mean by the existing assignment it not effective and
efficient but this is to helps new learning way for a student for a fast
learning and easy to understand and gain information. To be related, one of the
student already has a business which is food industy like burgers. Then the
feeling of enthusiasm will increasing on wanting to know more about this
subject and yet it might also helps him for a future in real life business industry.
